Ponta Delgada é uma cidade portuguesa localizada na Ilha de São Miguel e pertencente à Região Autónoma dos Açores com uma população de 46 102 habitantes (2011).
Ponta Delgada é a capital económica da Região Autónoma dos Açores e a maior cidade desta região.
É sede de um município com 231,90 km² de área e com 68 809 habitantes (2011), subdividido em 24 freguesias. O município é limitado a leste pelos municípios da Ribeira Grande e da Lagoa e tem costa no oceano Atlântico a norte, sul e oeste.
Com quase cinco séculos de existência, é uma cidade plana, moderna e cosmopolita. É o maior concelho e o que reúne a maior diversidade de equipamentos.
Ponta Delgada is a Portuguese city located in São Miguel Island and belonging to the Autonomous Region of the Azores with a population of 46,102 inhabitants (2011).
Ponta Delgada is the economic capital of the Autonomous Region of the Azores and the largest city in this region.
It is the seat of a municipality with 231.90 km² in area and with 68 809 inhabitants (2011), subdivided into 24 parishes. The municipality is bordered to the east by the municipalities of Ribeira Grande and Lagoa and has Atlantic coast to the north, south and west.
With almost five centuries old, it is a flat, modern and cosmopolitan city. It is the largest municipality and the one that brings together the greatest diversity of equipment.
A Geotour
O objetivo principal da Ponta Delgada Geotour é que cada geocacher participante consiga conhecer melhor, do ponto de vista: turístico, religioso, histórico, etc..., o Concelho de Ponta Delgada, situado na ilha de S. Miguel - arquipélago dos Açores, "rodeado de natureza incalculável".
The Geotour
The main objective of Ponta Delgada Geotour is that each participating geocacher can get to know better, from the point of view: tourist, religious, historical, etc ..., the Ponta Delgada Municipality, located on the island of S. Miguel - Azores archipelago, "surrounded by incalculable nature".
Para participar o geocacher deverá:
Realizar as geocaches que constam neste website e efetuar o registo no logbook de cada geocache (ou enviar o email/ mensagem de geocaching no caso das Earthcaches);
Efetuar o registo online das geocaches no site www.geocaching.com
To participate in the geocacher must:
Perform the geocaches on this website and log in the logbook of each geocache (or send the email / geocaching message in case of Earthcaches);
Register geocaches online at www.geocaching.com
